The time of the Established Kingdom of God

The Gardens

Let me start with this statement, then prove it through Biblical reference.  The Kingdom of God was re-established at the cross and was intended to have and restore dominion over the earth and all in it at that time!  As children of the Living God and joint heirs with the Christ, we should be firmly established in that task!  The work was done when Jesus said, “It is finished.”[1]  All that was left was for the sons (and daughters) of God to take their rightful place in God’s plan.  Sadly, that was not the case.

The setting for both the loss and restoration of man’s dominion was a garden.  First, there was Eden, the Garden of Promise, where Adam was given that dominion,[2] and subsequently lost it.  The second garden was Gethsemane, the Garden of the Curse, where Jesus gave Himself to be tried and crucified.[3]  Through the sacrifice of innocence (Jesus), the crime of the guilty (Adam) was erased and the Kingdom of God on earth and the dominion through it was re-established by the second Adam.  A factor lost to most of the Body of Believers today is that both Adam and Jesus were conceived solely by the Holy Spirit and are the only true-born sons of God.  The rest of us came through adoption.

God knew that man would get in the way after the resurrection, and set His time of waiting to end after “two days” (2000 years)[4], which ended God’s “week” (6000 years) covering the time of Adam’s seed.  This would begin a “seventh day”, or Sabbath, revival where God “raises us up” to dwell in His presence.  This is not a physical activity, but a spiritual one, where we will again walk with God as did Adam in the Garden, in a plane of spiritual existence we were meant to inhabit from the cross.  This will happen and we will “hear” the voice of God just as did Adam, Moses, Noah, and others, if we choose to follow God’s plan of ascendancy to sonship and dominion.

To aid in the accomplishment of that goal, we have help we don’t normally consider.  Listen, God’s angels have a purpose concerning you – to help you in the activities God has for you to do in regard to the Kingdom.  Know this – God’s Kingdom rests on you and He has given you the angels to guide you, strengthen you, uphold you, and go before you.[5]  Further more, YOU are the flame of His anointing.[6]  This smacks fully in the face of the prevalent teaching that says God doesn’t need you; there are plenty of others to take your place.  Yes, God does need you, and your disobedience alters the direction of God’s plan.

A quick sidebar.  Note: Earlier I made note of 6000 years as covering the time of Adam and his seed, not as covering all creation.  Anyone that is foolish and arrogant enough to believe that “terra-firma” is only 600 years old need not apply to the W. Joe B. Academy of Higher Learning.  Only an idiot refutes isotope dating and strata identification, much less the evidence of several cataclysmic climate eras.  God didn’t need to waste time or words in what we call The Bible on things that took place before Adam’s time.  He gave us knowledge and wisdom to find that out on our own.  Rant concluded.

Back to the flames.  When we consider that God is a consuming fire[7] that will come upon everyone and everything,[8] then we must decide and understand that the fire shall either refine us (in which it consumes the dross or impure),[9] or destroy our enemies (that which is against God and His Kingdom).[10]  Note a part of this passage from Malachi that is never brought out.  I will quote the complete passage here and highlight the section in question.

Then those who feared the LORD spoke to one another, and the LORD paid attention and listened. A book was written in his presence to be a reminder to those who feared the LORD and respected his name.  "They will be mine," says the LORD of Armies. "On that day I will make them my special possession. I will spare them as a man spares his own son who serves him.  Then you will again see the difference between righteous people and wicked people, between the one who serves God and the one who doesn’t serve him.  "Certainly the day is coming! It will burn like a furnace. All arrogant people and all evildoers will be like straw. The day that is coming will burn them up completely," says the LORD of Armies. "It won’t leave a single root or branch.  "The Sun of Righteousness will rise with healing in his wings for you people who fear my name. You will go out and leap like calves let out of a stall.  You will trample on wicked people, because on the day I act they will be ashes under the soles of your feet," says the LORD of Armies.

Get that?  The fire will only destroy the wicked.  And, no, the true Believers will not be gone, else how will the difference be seen between them and those destroyed?  The flames will not harm them anymore than they harmed the three Hebrews cast into the Babylonish furnace.  We are expected to be His “ministers of flame” as the “flaming sword” of his word comes forth from our mouths, confident that we can send the angels before us to pave the way, remove obstacles, and defeat those who stand against us.  That’s when we will not only see, but become the evidence of God and his glory.  We will be revealed as the sons and daughters of the Living God.[11]
