The Time of the Established Kingdom of God: conclusion

Conclusion (for now)

Just as John (the Baptist) was “obligated” to decrease in himself so Jesus could be manifested after him,[1] we must become transparent so the Christ can be revealed in, and through, us, so the power and miracles of God can be accomplished again in this world.  Paul is clear on that point.[2]  We die to live; we endure to reign.  Yet, if we deny Jesus; Jesus will deny us.  So, endure not only for your personal sake, but also for the sake of those you will reach as a manifested citizen of the Kingdom of God .

The “power” assumed to be resident in the church today is a façade designed by the enemy over 1500 years ago and perpetuated by man.  It is meant to not only weaken the church, but influence the Bride into believing that this is the pinnacle of two millennia of religious fervor so no more preparations will take place.  In doing so, the enemy has perpetuated incorrect usages of numerous Biblical entities, not the least of these, the cross.

Yes, I said the cross.  The Cross of Calvary and the shed blood it represents have been elevated to such a position that it is observed as an end, rather than a place of beginning.  We tenuously “cling” to the “old, rugged, cross” when it is the place of redemption, and only redemption , instead of moving forward into the power of His resurrection!   In doing so, we “stagnate” at the stage of an “infant” (spiritually speaking), forever debating inconsequential minutia of various doctrines (if you didn’t “get it” our way, then it isn’t right) and ridiculously “pleading the blood” over this, that, and everything.  We have totally ignored the fact that Calvary’s blood is solely designated to cover and remit our sins, that death might “pass over” us.

Forget anything else you might have been led to believe applies to the blood!  That’s all there is!  The blood is for remission of sins and nothing else!  But, what more could you want from it?  That, of itself, is the greatest of gifts ever given to Adam’s seed.  Why “plead the blood” over an illness?  I t has no sins to remit; it’s a disease!  Why “plead the blood” over a demonic attack?  Do you think the demons want to be saved?  And for goodness sakes, quit “pleading the blood” over Satan!  He could care less!  But, to defeat him , and his many life applications, we must learn to go onward from the redemptive value of the cross and enter into the tomb; the place of death.[3]

That is where we prepare ourselves to walk in power.  Through prayer and study of the truth of the word (rather than the church’s re-write), we must wait for God’s timing.  When He sends the angel to roll away the stone, then we come forth in power and authority that will be recognized as the power and authority of God.  Even Jesus waited for the angel to move the stone.  That, as all other things in His life, is an example to us to be patient while God proves the way for us to complete His works.

Only God knows when we’ve been in the “crucible” of the tomb long enough, and nobody’s time is the same.  Don’t even try to move your own “stone” as it will only give you spiritual “muscle strain” and a program for failure.  Worse yet, is when we take it upon ourselves to remove someone else’s stone and push them out too soon.  We’ve fallen prey to the church’s principle of “jump out and bear fruit,” rather than god’s principle of “grow roots.”

We constantly push others out before they’re ready, and we dash out before God has fully prepared us to go.  This is a simple formula for disaster!  Many is the young convert who has been thrust forth too soon, failed, and decided it was impossible to serve God, never to try again!   According to what I read, that person’s blood is on the hands of the one who did the shoving.

Of course, the opposite side of this is just as bad, waiting in the dark after God has said, “Come forth!”  We’re afraid to go out for God because we’ve been made to believe it’s not for this place and time, but “over in the glory land.”  So, we hide in the corner of the tomb in our “filthy grave clothes.”  Jesus left those rags in the sepulcher when He came forth because He didn’t need them anymore.  He was clothed in the Father’s Glory, just as we are to be.  He had been perfected through obedience,[4] taken our sins to the grave, and rose triumphant over death and hell.[5]

He did this for us to pave the way for us to continue His ministry and mission.  We must be both prepared and willing to do the same things He did!  We must also be perfected by obedience, join Him in death and baptism (cross and tomb) to end our old life.  We must come forth in the power of His resurrection to restore creation to the liberty of righteousness.  And the time of the Kingdom is Now!

I came upon your post from a Google Alert I set up on the phrase "plead the blood". I do this every day for my family and believe God showed me something about this which I wrote about in my blog in 2006. You might be interested in reading it at: http://roadrevelations.org/?p=50. Be blessed!

Bill:

I agree with the premise of the passages you quoted, but this was not to be done everyday or in every instance. Our need for continued oblations of the "doorpost and lintel" scene ended at the cross. To continue to "plead the blood" constantly is akin to saying the cross wasn't enough or the work of the cross gets weak and needs to be reapplied. Instead, we should be taking the authority given us to command "in His name" not "through His blood." Thoughts?
